  • Day 01             Samarkand/Bukhara – Asraf village

    Morning pick up from Samarkand/Bukhara. Drive to to Asraf village (205 km from Samarkand / 295 km from Bukhara). After arrival in Asraf village, accommodation in the guesthouse, introduction with homestay facilities. After lunch in the guesthouse, walk around the area to get to know the village people and their daily life activities. Have a rest tapchan or supa sofas (traditional outdoor seating) under the walnut trees. After that you have a good chance to watch or participate in preparing very popular traditional dish – Plov for dinner or the one like that. Overnight in the guesthouse.

  • Day 02             Asraf – Uhum – Asraf (14 km)

    Early morning is very interesting and real scene for watching how the people in the village deal with their morning homework such as bread baking, cooking on a traditional stove, feeding pets and etc. Breakfast in the guesthouse. Full day guided hiking tour to one of the Nurata Mountain villages – Uhum (7 km one way, 3.5 hours with picnic rest). During the hiking to Uhum village from Asraf you can see local historical sites such as the ruins of Mongol fortress “Qorgoni Honkeldi”, the ruins of “Deh” fortress, a rock with old petroglyphs and an old community watermill in Upper Uhum with demonstration of the use of this old device which is still operating. Return to Asraf village. Overnight in the local guesthouse.

  • Day 03             Asraf village – Samarkand/Bukhara

    Breakfast in the guesthouse. Drive back to Bukhara/Samarkand (295 km to Bukhara / 205 km to Samarkand) & drop off to hotel/train station/airport. End of the tour.

Best season to travel:

You can travel and enjoy this program all year around however one can feel a little bit uncomfortable to travel in the hottest period of summer (in July) and in winter when the weather is cold. But during these off-season periods, travellers can get special discounted rates for packages by request.

 

Level of difficulties and age limitation:

This is an easy level tour and there is no age limitation as far as a person has no walking distance problem. Because in some cities such as Khiva and Bukhara, transportation is limited and normally tourists walk around approximately from 3 to 5 km during an excursion.
