  • Day 01        Tashkent – Beldersay Ski Resort – Nurekata River

    Our driver, guide and a mountain instructor will pick up from a hotel in Tashkent. Drive to Beldersay. Ascend gradually by the path among junipers and the sunny meadow to the Urtakumbel pass (in translation “medium sandy”) (1850 m). Then a short descent and reach to the valley of Beldersay River 1700 m. Some rest and lunch. Continue our journey with an ascent to the Chetkumbel pass of (1880 m). Descend the path along the tributary will lead us to the Valley of Nurekata River (1500 m). Set a tent for the night. A traveller can swim in the river and sit by the fire looking at the starry sky. Dinner. Overnight in a tent.

  • Day 02        Nurekata – Aksakata – Gidzhal – Tashkent

    The rivers Aksakata and Nurekata are two full-flowing rivers that originate from Chatkal ridge’s beneath and divide them into Mingdzhilki ridge. After breakfast continue the trip. The entire path runs down the length of Nurekatasai River by an unpaved road. Along the way one can see pastures of sheep, cows and horses. Then ascend to the Beshadam tract (1545 m) along a cattle track. Sheep pastures are driven here in spring, summer and autumn. Having reached the highest point of the tract, stop for a photo and a panorama view of the mountains – Chatkal ridge Surenata Maygashan and the rocky section of the canyon type. Then descend the slope of Mount Surenata – this region is famous for marble mining – over the rocky section (canyon) in the village of Gidzhal (1050 m). This is where our trip ends and return to Tashkent. Drop client/clients to a hotel/train station/airport. End of our services.

Best time to travel along this program is from Apr 20 till Nov 01.

 

Level of difficulties and age limitation:

Active level B. A traveller should be used to country walking or with experience in longer and more extended walks. Good health and fitness are necessary as the tour consists of high altitude and rough terrain. Age range: from 15 up to 65 years old.

 

Remark:

First of all, check the weather in advance before planning. Wear appropriate gear (light trekking boots, a shirt with long sleeves, avoid cotton socks but go for wool or syntactic ones, also avoid cotton trousers as it gets damp) and bring along extra clothing and supplies, such as hats, raincoats (depending on season & weather), hiking sticks, electric torches, umbrellas, first-aid kits, bank charger for mobile phones.
